Our commitment to sustainable forestry is rooted in Improved Forest Management (IFM), a critical strategy for increasing carbon storage while enhancing forest ecosystems.

  • Carbon Stock Enhancement: Through IFM, we protect and enhance existing forests, increasing the amount of carbon stored in trees and soil. This process reduces deforestation and promotes reforestation, capturing and storing significant amounts of carbon dioxide.

  • Biodiversity Protection: IFM ensures that forests remain rich in biodiversity by preserving natural habitats, protecting wildlife, and maintaining ecosystem balance.

  • Sustainable Harvesting Practices: We utilize selective harvesting techniques that ensure trees are harvested in a way that minimizes damage to the surrounding forest, enabling continued forest growth and carbon capture.

To further expand the impact of our forest conservation efforts, we are pursuing a Forestry Multi-use License, which will allow us to use forest areas for multiple purposes while ensuring environmental sustainability.

  • Multiple Use Approach: The multi-use license will enable us to combine various forestry activities, including timber production, carbon sequestration, agroforestry, and ecotourism. This holistic approach maximizes the benefits forests can provide, from economic value to ecological services.

  • Carbon Sequestration and Economic Growth: By integrating forestry with sustainable commercial activities, we can generate revenue through carbon credits, timber, and agricultural products, while continuing to increase carbon stock through reforestation and improved forest management.

  • Community Engagement: The multi-use forestry approach fosters local economic growth by creating jobs in forestry, agriculture, and ecotourism, benefiting local communities while supporting forest conservation.
